Miss Alyssa – Columbus, OH Child Photographer

Miss Alyssa was a bit shy and stiff at first, but she quickly relaxed and let her smile shine through!  She asked me to take these pictures as a Christmas present for her aunt and uncle, so we took a little trip to Schiller Park in Columbus, OH.  I think they will be surprised at how grown up their little girl has become!

Schiller Park is so versatile for many different types of photography!  There are just so many interesting things there!  Ponds, fountains, statues, large trees, a stage where they do different plays and performances.  The place is just stocked full of interesting backgrounds and items to interact with for great portraits!

Thank you Alyssa for toughing out the cold day and allowing us the privilege to take your pictures!  🙂

Amber, Amy, and Kids – Columbus, OH Family Photographer

Amber and Amy have been friends of my family for a long time, and they mentioned they had never done family pictures before and were looking for a family photographer..!  We just had to make that a thing of the past, so we took a little trip to North Bank Park in Columbus, OH.   Amber, Amy, Kasyn, and Koltyn were so much fun! They were so easy to photograph because the smiles were natural and they were enjoying themselves.  It really shows in the pictures….

We started out walking down the jogging paths at north Bank Park and would stop here or there to snap a few pictures.  That is what I love about doing photography!  It can be so informal.  And when it is informal the people getting their photographs taken do not feel pressured and act more natural.  All of the smiles you see in the below photos are REAL smiles.  These photos were usually taken during a conversation…and so the smiles are just that more genuine.  🙂

The scenery was beautiful with the fall colors and red trees in the background!  This location has so much to choose from…between the trees and nature,  to the city skyscrapers, to the railroad tracks.  Just amazing!

We had a really good time at north Bank Park with Amber, Amy, and kids…and also got our exercise for the day.  🙂  Hope to do it again some time!

Great Danes – Columbus, OH Pet Photographer

Our friend, Tabby, breeds Great Danes and over the summer she had TONS of Great Dane puppies and was looking for a pet photographer!  So we took our son, Ace, over to play with all of the puppies and ride the horses…and of course I had to take my camera.  🙂  I ended up taking hundreds of pictures of her Great Danes and she used many of the pics on her website, http://www.tlsdanes.com (which no longer exists, sorry!).

She breeds these Great Danes and sells them all over the country!  From hat I understand they are full blooded Danes and have all the paperwork to be in dog shows and the such.  🙂

The little dogs were so cute and cuddly.  Hard to believe that they would grow up to be such big clumsy dogs.  🙂  It was a challenge to photograph all of these puppies and keep straight which ones we photographed and which ones we did not.  The black and white photo below shows all of the puppies in a wheel barrel.  That is where we put the ones that had already had their pictures taken.

One of the Mom dogs took a liking to me and, honestly, if we would have lived somewhere not in town I would have taken her home.  Great Dane’s, to me just seem a bit big to be inside, but I know many people who have them as inside dogs and love every minute of it!

We had such a great time doing some pet photography!
